Answers to common questions about MyLittleGuess, baby showers, creating a guess and the baby book.
General questions
What is MyLittleGuess?
MyLittleGuess is a platform where expectant parents can invite friends and family to predict the baby's characteristics. Friends and family can make a guess about eye colour, hair colour, gender, the first letter of the name, birth date, weight, length, birth time and the full name. Parents can also add their own custom questions.
How do we handle personal data?
Your data is safe with us. The website is protected with an SSL certificate and the email addresses of parents and guessers are only used to send messages about the progress of the guess. If we want to use personal data for other purposes, we will always ask for separate permission. More information is available in our privacy statement: www.mylittleguess.com/privacy
What if I am expecting twins or triplets?
In that case, it is best to create multiple guesses. It is not yet possible to create one guess specifically for multiples.
Can I stop the guess if my pregnancy is not going well?
That is, of course, the worst thing that can happen to expectant parents. If this happens, please send us an email at info@mylittleguess.com. We will remove the guess.
Baby shower
Can MyLittleGuess also be used for a baby shower?
Absolutely. The platform works exactly the same for a baby shower. The person organising the baby shower, or someone else, can start the guess and everyone who is invited can fill in their answers. The person who started the guess can then buy the baby book. The baby book is a wonderful gift for the mother-to-be.
Who can order the baby book for the baby shower?
The person who created the guess for the baby shower can order the book.
Creating the guess
When during my pregnancy can I create a guess?
You can create a guess at any moment during the pregnancy. If friends and family already know the gender, you can turn off the option to guess the gender.
How can I invite friends and family?
After creating the account, you receive a link from us that you can share with friends and family via WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook, for example. Through the link, guessers can submit their guess.
My friends and family already know the gender. Can I still create a guess?
Yes, you can. There are still plenty of other characteristics they can predict.
Do guessers need to create an account?
No, guessers do not need to create an account. They only leave their email address so they can receive a confirmation of their submitted guess. They can also edit their guess until two weeks before the due date. After that, we close the guess. Guessers will also receive an email about buying the baby book and when the winner is announced.
My baby has been born. Where can I enter the results?
In your account dashboard, click the button "enter the correct answers".
How do we announce the winner?
Our algorithm compares the guessers' answers with the results you entered and awards points. You can award points yourself for the answers to custom questions. After all points are added up, a top 3 is announced. We send an email to all guessers once the points have been awarded and the winner is known.
What does the closing date of the guess mean?
From this date onward, no new guesses can be submitted and guessers can no longer change their guess.
The baby book
What is the baby book?
The baby book is a unique lasting memory for the parents. It includes a foreword, the predictions and the statistics from the guess. It also contains a page for each guesser with their predictions and the message they left for the baby and the parents. That is what makes the baby book so unique.
Who can order the baby book?
We offer the baby book as a gift that guessers can buy for the parents. We will send the guessers a message about this. First come, first served. Afterwards, extra baby books can of course be ordered for grandparents, an uncle, an aunt or someone else.
Can I return the baby book?
It is not possible to return the baby book. We make it on request and every baby book is unique. For that reason, the right of withdrawal is excluded. Read our terms and conditions to learn more about the exclusion of the right of withdrawal.
